The Perfect Roommate

(A Fantasy)

How can you resist this face?I've lived with all types of people, but if I had my druthers, the person I'd choose to share my home with in a perfect world would be someone like this:

You are quiet and appreciate the house and setting, love nature and the country life. Willing to pitch in with cleaning and other chores when necessary, you like to keep things neat, clean and organized, but without being obsessive about it, and you can tolerate the level of mess that just comes with living in the country and with animals.

Hi, I'm Rocky, wanna play?A non-smoker, you are also environmentally conscious and an avid recycler.

You, of course, LOVE animals, never raise a hand to harm or hurt them, and are appalled by anyone who could be cruel to or mistreat them, but not to the extent of bombing puppy mills or joining animal rights groups who advocate violence.

You are NOT a Republican and can never imagine yourself becoming one. You are basically open-minded and a free-thinker with your own beliefs and ideas, and not a radical feminist, fundamentalist or evangelical Christian, right-winger, extreme leftist, socialist, communist, vegan, libertarian, militia member, or extremist anything. Basically you make up your own mind about things and keep your opinions to yourself generally, but when the subject comes up aren't afraid of a lively argument/discussion.

ZiggyYou prefer to be left alone and leave others alone to do their thing. You won't have huge wild parties and won't have lots of guests over because you truly enjoy the solitude and peace of your home. You don't drink other than an occasional glass of wine or beer with a meal or to relax, and never do any type of drugs, which you think is pretty stupid.

You wouldn't have your boyfriend/girlfriend over to spend the night because you'd realize that would make your landlord uncomfortable. You certainly would not have a parade of one night stands which would really make him uncomfortable. You understand that he is not a prude, but that it would infringe on his privacy because of the close quarters.

Hi, I'm Lulu! You've seen the pictures of the house and property and read all of the above and think that this place is paradise on earth and the opportunity to live there is the greatest thing that you've ever had a chance to do and will appreciate and respect that to the fullest in return for the privilege of getting to share this beautiful home with its owner.

About the Setting

If you are looking for a beautiful and peaceful place to live you’ve found it!

We're located in Moore Township about midway between Bath and Northampton, just about 20 minutes from the Lehigh campus. The setting includes 3 acres of land with a trout stream and swimming hole right below the rear deck.

The house itself is a 200 hundred year old log cabin, but has all modern amenities, and also an out house (2-seater!) just in case. This is an ideal situation for a grad student working on their dissertation or doing research, etc., who may not need to be right on campus every day, or at least doesn't mind a scenic 20 minute drive through the countryside.

You have a choice of rooms depending on how much you’d like to pay and I am willing to trade part of the rent in return for running errands and household chores. The room itself is pretty small, just room for a bed and maybe a dresser, but you get to utilize the entire home and property and there are lots of amenities. It must be seen and experienced to be fully appreciated.

Animals are welcome! I have 2 dogs, Rocky & Lucky, both adopted Labs,  3 cats, Spike, Evelyn and Zachary, and 4 hens. We would love for you to bring your own critters, although another big dog may be a little much.
