My Dating Site Profile |
Who I AmAt this point in my life, I see myself as rock solid and content. I feel I have my life together and know and like who I am. I live in a 200 year old log cabin in the country on about 3 acres of meadow and woods with a creek through it. I also have a vintage barn I have converted into a workshop and studio. It is my dream come true and I love working on it and taking care of my animals. I am financially secure and not at all materialistic. I prefer the simple and useful over the flashy and expensive. I am creative and artistic and always working on making something. I am proud of being very self-sufficient. I can make, fix, or build just about anything. I have a deep appreciation for nature and find great peace and happiness there, and especially love all animals. But I'm not hiding out from the world, either. I really enjoy meeting and talking to anyone and everyone. The amazing variety of human nature intrigues me and keeps me curious and involved. I've done quite a bit of traveling over the years pursuing both my passion for surfing and deep interest in world cultures. Preferring the low budget approach (i.e. staying in a village in a local family's hut) rather than a luxury resort, but can go "upscale" when I want to. I am a freelance website designer and keep up with the latest technology, but what really excites me about the computer is the possibilities for creative expression it has opened to me. I am also a theatre professional and do it all, actor, director, designer, technical director and more. I once started my own Shakespeare troupe and also produced/performed a one man show. Who I'm Looking ForIn the final analysis, I'm looking for someone to share my life with, a soul mate, but I am open to meeting and getting to know anyone who just wants to spend some quality time together enjoying life and whatever. I would like to be with someone who is curious, open and easy-going, taking life as it comes, not filled with unrealistic expectations or looking for someone else to provide them with what they can't find themselves. You should be able to give of yourself freely, be loving, caring, kind and gentle, not demanding or overly needy. Conversely, you should be able to receive tenderness, intimacy and caring when it is offered, but not be dependent on it or become disappointed when you don't get it. More importantly you should have the courage to ask for it when you need it, and the strength to carry on without it when for some reason it can't be provided. And most importantly of all, you see my life as it is and want to share yours with me, becoming true partners in all that life has to offer us. for fun:playing with my dogs, working in my garden or workshop, creating art, sitting on my deck watching the geese fly overhead, the trout feed in the creek below, and the sun setting through the trees beyond my meadow of wildflowers my job:Web Designer, Graphic Artist, Theatre Professional: Actor, Director, Technical Director, Set & Lighting Designer, Woodworker, Carpenter to name a few. my education:The Hill School, 1969-71 - University of Pennsylvania, BA Fine Art, 1974 - too many Community College classes in things I was interested in learning to list... favorite hot spots:local: see what I do for fun; travel: anywhere with perfect uncrowded surf and warm water favorite things:playing with my dogs, working in my garden or workshop, creating art, sitting on my deck watching the geese fly overhead, the trout feed in the creek below, and the sun setting through the trees beyond my meadow of wildflowers, surfing perfect waves last read:Surfer Magazine, article and pictures of guys towing into insanely HUGE waves on Maui, blew my mind and completely humbled me
